Dry Skin Brushing 2Dry Skin Brushing has been practiced for thousands of years in many cultures as part of a daily hygiene routine.  I've enjoyed dry skin brushing as part of my daily routine for most of my adult life and have performed many dry skin brushing treatments on my clients as it was a very popular spa treatment at the Day Spa where I worked as an Esthetician.

The skin is one of the major organs of elimination and is the first organ to show signs of toxicity and inbalance in the body.  Some indicators of toxic overload are frequent colds, allergies, headaches, rashes, dry itchy skin, eczema, psoriasis, sluggishness, and fatigue.

More than one pound of waste is eliminated through the skin every single day.  If your pores are clogged with dry dead skin cells, then impurites and toxins will remain in the body, and will be stored in fat cells, contributing to cellulite, while overtaxing the liver, kidneys, and other detox organs.

Dry Skin Brushing is one of the easiest and most effective ways to help keep your skin and body healthy and functioning at peak performance!  The simple process of exfoliating the built-up dead skin cell layers, revitalizes your skin and increases blood circulation, while increasing the skins capacity to eliminate toxins.  The ability of the skin to excrete toxins is of vital importance to your health and well-being.

If you've never experienced this powerful anti aging secret ritual, you'll find that not only does this invigorating exfoliation skin care treatment feel absolutely wonderful, but it will change the health of your whole entire body, while leaving you with velvety soft, smooth, supple, healthy skin.

All you need is a long handled NATURAL bristle brush (for hard to reach areas, like the back) ... and 5-15 minutes a day.

        Dry Skin Brushing Instructions:

  1. The best time to dry skin brush is first thing in the morning right before your shower or bath, while naked when skin is dry.
  2. While standing, using long sweeping strokes or small circular motions with firm, but light gentle pressure, begin at the soles of your feet (ALWAYS brushing upwards towards the heart).
  3.  DO NOT brush too hard!  Dry skin brushing should feel good!
  4. After brushing the feet, continue up the legs, brushing each body part several times, moving up to the buttocks, hips, arms, and abdomen.
  5. NOTE:  For cellulite prone areas, you can brush for up to 10 minutes.
  6. On the abdomen, do small circular counter-clockwise motions.
  7. Finish with the back, shoulders, neck and breasts, lightly brushing the breasts avoiding the nipple area.
  8. DO NOT brush the face and avoid brushing broken skin!

PLEASE NOTE:  For optimal results, dry skin brushing should be done everyday!

Take a warm shower or bath, followed by a cool rinse at the end to further invigorate blood circulation.  After showering use a moisturize or pure plant / aromatherapy essential oils such as olive, avocado, almond, or apricot.  Wash brush every couple of weeks and let air dry.
