World's Oldest ManWalter Bruening, at the age of 112 became the oldest living man, not only in America, but in the entire world, when Henry Allingham of England passed away in July, at the age of 113.  Bruening of Great Falls, Montana was born Sept 21, 1896 and is the only man still alive who was born during the Cleveland administration.

Married for 35 yrs. to his wife Agnes, who has been dead for more than half a century, Bruening has never remarried and has no children.  He lives in an Assisted Living Facility, but without assistance.  Even as Bruening approaches his 113th birthday, he still has a great memory and is as sharp as a tack as he remembers his grandfather talking about fighting in the Civil War.

Bruening's advice for living to a ripe old age?  Keep your mind and body active, don't eat too much, and be good to people.  He credits his longevity to keeping busy and practicing moderation.  Bruening watches what he eats, eats only two meals and day, and does not take any medicine, except for one low-dose aspirin a day.

Longevity however, did not run in the Bruening family and he has no living relatives, as his father died at the age of 50, his mother at 46, and both his brothers and two sisters passed away in their 70's.

Bruening says he is grateful for his health and says... "If you're in good health, you've got everything there is."

BOTTOM LINE:  I think we all need to take this remarkable gentleman's advice and we'll reap the rewards of good health and longevity!!!
